Reception at Cegonha is available 24 hours a day, which was a lifesaver when we arrived late and exhausted. The staff greeted us with warm smiles and efficient check-in, making us feel instantly welcome. It was like having a personal concierge at our beck and call throughout our stay.
The wc was not exceptionally clean but all the rest was perfect!

We (a couple from Germany) spent here a few nights starting the 18th of March 2020… Yes , that was the time when anything closed down and went worse due to Covid19. They were the only ones willing to take us. There was no other accommodation in the rural areas, so otherwise we would have needed to return to Lisbon. We wanted to avoid this at all cost, as situations in big cities turned worse faster. We are very thankful for you people at Hotel a Cegonha! In this family-run hotel, they saw our problem and perhaps put mercy over reason. We were the only guests! Still at a very reasonable price. I cannot judge what the Cegonha is like in season, but we felt so safe and secure, and that was more important than any other thing I could review here. Good-hearted people cannot be reviewed! Thank you so much and all the best for you in these difficult times!
Good-hearted, friendly owner/management, run by the family

The hotel is located in the heart of a small village, making it a convenient base for exploring. It is situated on the promenade, offering a beautiful view of the river. Guests can also find an excellent Portuguese restaurant just a stone's throw away. there is a small square nearby where parking is available.
The kitchen in the hotel is poorly equipped, which may be disappointing who prefer to cook their meals instead of eating out.

We stayed at Hotel A Cegonha for a few days and had a great time. The hotel has a charming, old-style atmosphere that I really enjoyed. The friendly staff, particularly the lovely lady owner, made us feel welcome and were very helpful. The hotel is budget-friendly and offers good value for the price. The location is fantastic, with beautiful views of the small roadway and easy access to the town's promenade. The continental breakfast and clean rooms with good bathrooms were also highlights of our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, situated on the promenade in a beautiful setting. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with everything being clean and well-maintained. We were delighted to find that there was a lot of free parking available nearby, which was a big plus for us. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The breakfast, although not very rich, was included in the room rate and was a nice addition to our stay.
Not one thing.

I had a great experience staying at Hotel A Cegonha. The location was convenient with plenty of parking options nearby. The clean and airy reception made for a pleasant first impression. The staff, especially the owner, were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for nearby restaurants. My room was clean and the bathroom was in good condition. I enjoyed the continental breakfast, which had a decent selection of cold meats, cheese, cereal, and juice. The town of Alcacer was surprisingly charming, with a beautiful promenade along the river and plenty of local restaurants to explore. I highly recommend this hotel for a convenient and enjoyable stay in Alcacer.

The A2 motorway only took 7 minutes to drive to, imagine the joy of being stuck in traffic for THAT long. The reception at Cegonha was available 24/7, just in case I had an urgent need to discuss the weather at 3am. The free Wi-Fi was splendid for scrolling through cat videos.
I was so disappointed that they didn't offer Wi-Fi access and private parking for my pet unicorn. Such a shame.

Spacious and clean room with plenty of lovely white towels. Good over bath shower. - Great location for exploring the town and walking along the river.
Disappointing breakfast with limited fruit options and lack of local pastries.
